The Muller Thurgau "Merus" by Tiefenbrunner is a fresh, delicate and elegant wine, characterized by inviting and refined aromas, slightly aromatic, with notes of fruit and wild herbs. The sip is very balanced and mineral, simply harmonious.

The Muller-Thurgau ‘Merus’ is an Alto Adige bottle with peculiar and pleasant herbaceous aromas crafted in Corona, above the municipality of Cortaccia, by the Tiefenbrunner winery. The Classic ‘Merus’ line encompasses single-varietal interpretations of the most widespread white grape varieties in Alto Adige, including Müller-Thurgau, a genetic hybrid obtained in Germany at the end of the 19th century through the crossing of Riesling Renano and Madeleine Royale. Over the years, Tiefenbrunner has established itself as one of the greatest Italian interpreters of this grape variety, managing to produce surprisingly high-quality results.

The Tiefenbrunner ‘Merus’ Muller-Thurgau is an expression of the homonymous white grape variety grown on hilly soils made up of calcareous gravel of morainic origin, located between 750 and 900 meters above sea level. The vineyards are exposed to the south and southeast and are trained using pergola and trellis systems according to sustainable viticulture practices. In the winery, the grapes undergo a classic white winemaking process, with gentle pressing and controlled temperature alcoholic fermentation in cement tanks. The maturation phase also takes place in cement, where the mass rests for 4 months on the fine lees.

In visual examination, the ‘Merus’ Muller-Thurgau by Tiefenbrunner shows a pale straw-yellow hue with greenish reflections. Notes of peach, citrus, wild herbs, and nutmeg characterize the olfactory profile along with subtle mineral perceptions. On the palate, it is balanced, fine, and delicate, with a pleasant fresh-salty component that accompanies the elegant finish. It is a perfect Muller-Thurgau to drink young, paired with fresh cheeses or light seafood preparations.
