Il Migiu Le Anfore by Elena Casadei is a white wine made from only Semidano grapes through aging in large terracotta amphorae. Its intense golden yellow color, which indicates a long maceration on the skins, introduces a bouquet of ripe fruit and yellow peach. On the palate, it shows good structure and remarkable balance between freshness and minerality.

"Migiu" Le Anfore by Elena Casadei is a white enticing and original, a rare expression of pure Semidano enriched by the contribution of skin contact. Another snapshot of the territory is that bottled by Olianas, a winery in Sarcidano that in 20 years marked by clear ideas and serious work, has managed to become a reference point in an area not particularly considered by wine drinkers. Unjustly, we feel compelled to add, because as this white shows, the combination of local grapes and territory can yield enormous satisfaction if well interpreted. Cannonau, Bovale, Vermentino, Nasco, and Semidano populate the approximately 23 hectares of vineyard cultivated without the aid of chemical or synthetic substances, enhancing biodiversity. The use of terracotta amphorae during vinification or skin maceration are elements that testify to an incessant effort aimed at obtaining original and focused liquid expressions.

The wine "Migiu" is obtained from pure Semidano grapes, coming from vineyards located at about 370 meters above sea level and resting on sandy-loam soils of marine origin. In the vineyard, the principles of biodynamics are followed, preserving the vitality of soil and plants, while in the winery, after manual harvesting of the bunches, spontaneous fermentation takes place in terracotta amphorae in contact with the skins for about 3 months. The liquid ages for at least 5 months in terracotta amphorae.

Le Anfore "Migiu" presents itself in the glass with a golden hue that shifts towards amber. Intense and expressive nose, intertwining hints of ripe yellow fruit, peach, wildflowers, and the typical scrub of the area. Full and flavorful sip, in balance between softness and salty length, which testifies to the versatility of the liquid, suitable for both fish-based and white meat preparations.
