Marche Bianco 'Clochard' La Calcinara 2024

The Verdicchio ‘Clochard’ from La Calcinara takes its name from an idea of freedom, that of a wanderer looking at the same sky as everyone else. The native grape from Marche is joined by a blend of Chardonnay, grapes harvested from breathtaking seaside vineyards. The two varieties are hand-picked at different times and age separately, the Verdicchio in cement and the Chardonnay between barriques and clayver, to then meet in the same glass. On the nose, its iodized soul is immediately noticeable, with delicate yellow fruit complementing it. On the palate, it is full and briny, an excellent profile to pair with an Anconetana fish stew.
