The Chardonnay by Tiefenbrunner is a medium-structured white wine aged for 4 months on the lees in steel. On the nose, it expresses pleasant aromas of exotic fruit and wildflowers. On the palate, it is full-bodied and assertive, with good structure and a slightly spicy taste.

The Tiefenbrunner Chardonnay is among the most representative whites of the winery. The noble Burgundy grape variety, which originated in ancient times from a spontaneous cross between Pinot Noir and Gouais Blanc, arrived in Trentino Alto Adige during the 1800s, immediately demonstrating excellent adaptability to the climatic conditions and soils. The Tiefenbrunner estate is one of the oldest and richest in history in all of Alto Adige and cultivates vineyards in Niclara, Cortaccia, and Magrè, at altitudes ranging from 250 to 1000 meters. In this land, Chardonnay expresses itself in a very interesting way, with a fresh and crisp profile, which well reflects the characteristics of the soils of the Bassa Atesina.

Tiefenbrunner Chardonnay is cultivated in two different areas, in the hilly region of Cortaccia, on limestone soils located about 400 meters above sea level, and in the alluvial plain of Magré, made up of pebbles and sands. A dual origin of the grapes, which allows for a refined freshness, along with a rich and ripe fruit. The fermentation process takes place in steel, at a controlled temperature of 20 °C, while the subsequent aging on the lees takes place in cement for a period of about four months.

takes place in cement for a period of about four months.

The final result is a Chardonnay harmonious and lively, typically from Alto Adige. In the glass, it has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The bouquet is characterized by floral scents, aromas of white fruit, and more mature hints that lean towards tropical notes. On the palate, it has a pleasantly fresh and savory attack, with elegant and persistent fruity aromas. It pairs very well with seafood pasta dishes, fish dishes, and delicate white meats.
