The Barbera d’Alba Prunotto is a classic Piedmont red, fresh and highly drinkable. It originates from the winery that Alfredo Prunotto acquired in Alba in the 1920s and which is now owned by the Antinori family. The Barbera grapes come from vineyards on clay and sandy soils around the city and macerate on the skins for about a week, before a short aging in oak. On the nose, it offers winey aromas, hints of rose, ripe red fruit, and a spicy touch. On the palate, it is full and balanced, with a lively freshness that invites the next sip. Ideal with agnolotti in roast sauce
