The Rosso di Montalcino by Casanova de Neri is a faithful interpreter of the famous "petit vin" from the municipality of Montalcino, characterized by a shimmering ruby red hue of great brightness and transparency, expressing inviting fruity notes of cherry, currants, roses, and violets against a balsamic background of licorice. On the palate, it has a vibrant freshness, elegance, and balance with a long and persistent aromatic finish.

The Rosso di Montalcino by Casanova di Neri is the youngest, freshest, and most immediate version of the great wines from the Montalcino area. A pure Sangiovese vinified in a more delicate and less extractive way, making it ready to drink after about a year and a half of aging in wood. It is a medium-structured red, elegant, fresh with good intensity and aromatic persistence, particularly suitable for pairing with flavorful first courses or a classic beef tagliata.

The Rosso di Montalcino wine from the Casanova di Neri winery is produced with the same care and attention as the Brunello and expresses a strong territorial imprint, also due to the mass selection work done on Sangiovese in Montalcino. The grapes come from the vineyards cultivated in the southern area of Montalcino, where the milder and warmer climate, with Mediterranean influences, allows for perfect ripening of the bunches. The grapes are hand-harvested, with selection of the best bunches in the vineyard. Fermentation takes place in conical steel tanks at controlled temperature, with the use of only indigenous yeasts and maceration on the skins lasting about 18 days. It matures in barrel for about 17 months and completes the aging with a few months in bottle before being put on sale.

The Rosso di Montalcino by Casanova di Neri is a true young Brunello, which shares with its older brother the characteristics of a prestigious territory and the great quality of the grapes. Its pleasant expressive immediacy makes it ready and enjoyable to drink young, but it also has a good aging potential. The color is bright ruby red. On the nose, it releases aromas of cherry, floral nuances, hints of licorice root, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it has a good body, pleasantly ripe and juicy fruit, fine tannins, and a lively final freshness.
